Electrical Area Manager

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for the I/E First Line Leader’s and their crews.  Approximately 35 hourly technicians
  2. Facilitates implementation of work systems and drives improvement efforts for all key electrical reliability and safety elements.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that the following specific electrical reliability systems are executed in a consistent and suitable manner mill wide:
    1. Instrument/Electrical Precision Maintenance (IEPM)
    2. Electrical Power Distribution (EPD)
    3. Turbine Generator Reliability Program (Storm)
  4. Provides guidance and direction for direct reports, including
    1. Pulp, Power, and Recovery I/E Front Line Leader
    2. Finished Products I/E Front Line Leader
  5. Responsible for the coordination of electrical skills training for the I/E department.
  6. I/E PM compliance.  Drives, UPS, Consistencies
  7. Manages program compliance for the following but not limited to:
    1. NFPA70E
    2. Jumper Authorization
    3. Electrical tool inspection
Preferred Job Qualifications and Competencies
  1. Electrical technical degree and 5 years of Electrical supervision experience.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  3. Must have a previous supervisory or crew management experience as a Maintenance First Line Leader.
  4. Understands importance and has experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  5. Can work in a team environment and posses the desire to build an effective team.
  6. Possesses the desire to learn new skills and develop direct reports.
  7. Is action oriented with capability to manage through systems.
  8. Experience with PLC’s, VFD’s, instrumentation, DCS systems, EPD.
