Senior Cisco VoIP Engineer

The Senior IPT Video Engineer is responsible for the proper management, administration and maintenance of International Paper’s IP Telephony technologies and services.  This role consists of Telepresence video and overall IP Telephony service and delivery, engineering, design, support and technical management.
  • All International Paper employees in all facilities across all businesses that utilize IP Telephony (IPT) or video conference communication technologies
  • International Paper facility managers and local phone coordinators
  • Customer Contact Center team members and managers
  • Global Telecom Cellular & Conferencing team members
  • Proper management, administration and maintenance of all IP Telephony technologies and services.
    • Telepresence endpoint support for CTS and TC endpoints
      Cisco Call Manager engineering and support
    • SIP border element (Cisco CUBE) configuration, support and troubleshooting
    • Voice Mail (Cisco Unity Connection) configuration, support and troubleshooting
    • Telepresence management applications (VCS Expressway, Telepresence Management Suite)
    • Management of >10,000 phone endpoints and >100 video Telepresence endpoints deployed globally
    • Support of >4 Call Manager Clusters
    • Support of >50 IPT Server images
    • Engineering the growth of the system by 25 Telepresence units/year
    • Coordinate implementations with vendors, customers, and key internal I.T. resources
    • Develop and support processes and procedures that align with IP Business and other IT Organizations
    • Establish and maintain applicable facility, campus and/or Enterprise Service Levels (SLAs).
    • Provide end-user support for web applications for Call Manager, Voice Mail and other technologies
    • Develop and maintain Global Dial Plan
    • Administer, support and maintain toolset for monitoring, management and support.
  • Provide strategic direction relative to the implementation/use of voice technologies and solutions for International Paper
    • Establish enterprise video and IP Telephony standards
    • Develop strategies and objectives that support business needs and use of IP Telephony and video technologies
    • Identify and leverage integration opportunities of IP Telephony technologies into enterprise systems/applications
  • Development ofTelepresenceand IP Telephony related policies, procedures and priorities
  • Identification, establishment and sustainment of Telepresence and IP Telephony services Service Levels
  • Test and qualification of new phone, gateway and software models in the International Paper environment
  • Expansion, deployment, refresh and removal, etc. of all supported IP Telephony technologies and service.
  • High quality, reliable, stable, and persistently available IP Telephony technologies and services
  • Standard, repeatable and business adaptive processes for the delivery and support of Telepresence and IP Telephony services
  • Enterprise level Telepresence and IP Telephony standards and strategies that support current and future IP business requirements
  • A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of IP Telephony technologies, services and operational experience using Cisco IP Telephony systems
  • Is preferred to have 3+ years experience with Information Technology operations within International Paper
  • A comprehensive understanding and practical application experience of the following technologies and services:
Cisco Telepresence , Call Manager, Unity Voice Mail and Contact Center Systems, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and Call Recording
  • Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication skills at Technical and Management levels.
