Manager EHS Facility

The Eastover mill produces approximately 2,200 TPD of bleached pulp and paper, employs approximately 616 people and operates with high performance work systems. 
 
The EHS Manager is responsible for management and oversight of mill environmental, safety and health programs and processes.  The mill EHS Manager has responsibility to ensure all Eastover team members, contractors and vendors have a safe environment that meets or exceeds regulatory and company safety compliance standards.  The mill EHS Manager also has responsibility to ensure environmental compliance and work closely with local, city and state leaders and mill neighbors to ensure positive relationships and present the mill as a good corporate citizen for safety and environmental stewardship.  The leadership focus is on engaging appropriate employees in all aspects of safety, environmental and health and identifying, scoping, selling and implementing process improvements.  The EHS Manager is expected to work with the Eastover Lead Team to ensure environmental, safety and health compliance and excellence and to serve as an expert advisor and resource for the mill Lead Team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least two years experience managing in a manufacturing facility and a working knowledge of environmental, safety and health processes and compliance is required. 
  • At least two years experience working with a management team to achieve desired environmental and safety results is required.
  • Experience as site lead for safety and health, or site lead for environmental or experience as a mill Lead Team member is preferred. 
  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline is required.
