The Job You Will Perform:
Fiber Procurement Representatives are responsible for the purchase and delivery of fiber products to a paper mill, including pulpwood, chips, and fiber fuel (biomass).  The Fiber Procurement Representative plays a key role in raw materials acquisition, harvesting, logistics coordination, contract negotiations, and inventory management. This includes safety, environmental and other operational aspects.

This position will conduct fiber procurement activities in support of the Bogalusa, La. Mill, be accountable for fiber cost and volume targets as well as responsible for fiber quality and logistics.  Additionally, this position will oversee relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with contracts, company policies and procedures including safety, financial, environmental performance and fiber certifications.  The successful candidate will be expected to relocate to the Bogalusa basin with an office location in the Bogalusa Mill.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Forestry, Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, Transportation, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain)
  • Self-starter
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Employee must have demonstrated proficiency in relationship building and communication as well as analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fiber procurement experience is desired
