JOB TITLE: Global Supply Chain Process Steward

LOCATION: Memphis, TN

 

DESCRIPTION

In order to remain competitive, IP continues to evolve and change its supply chain capabilities and organization across its global businesses. The Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC COE) organization provides the expertise to stabilize, sustain, improve and deploy the Supply Chain Operating Model across International Paper.

Process Stewards are responsible for building support of decisions among business partners as the supply chain processes and systems continue to evolve, proactively understanding manufacturing & supply chain initiatives, identifying conflicting priorities & driving resolutions, as well as balancing the speed of implementing improvements while mitigating known risks.

The Process Steward Position will support sustain activities within areas related to manufacturing, warehousing, or freight payment processes. They will also be involved in activities related to major projects such as design, testing and deployment support. This is a unique opportunity to build deep process knowledge and deployment expertise within our supply chain.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Assume responsibility for an assigned area within the order-to-cash process; with responsibility for:

o assessing and influencing the effective use of the supported processes and tools

o managing process and system enhancements from beginning to end

o ensuring new or upgraded functionality works via appropriate testing

o creating or revising support documentation

o providing day-to-day end user support

o implementation support

o facilitating better practice sharing across business groups

· Support activities for identifying, developing and implementing process improvements which will add incremental annual savings and/or improve the end user experience

· Support and sustain the integrated supply chain processes. Resolve end user issues.


QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of process development or improvement/sustainment experience

· 5+ years of operational experience in a supply chain process area. Experience in Freight Cost, Manufacturing, or Warehouse management / execution is strongly preferred but not required

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

· Supply Chain Application systems literate (preferably SAP)

· Successful business planning, implementation and process improvement experience strongly desired

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong analytical skills highly desired

· Technical flexibility – the ability to learn new systems and how they work, comfort around systems, and a level of tech savvy is required for this position

This position is located in Memphis, TN with some travel potentially required.
