Treasury Financial Analyst

Treasury & Subsidiary Accounting – GL-Subsidiary Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for account reconciliations, maintaining the books of various corporate subsidiaries, financial statement preparation, and assisting with derivatives and hedge accounting.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Trade confirmations, including reviewing trade tickets and monitoring confirmation process for non-US trades
  • Ensures proper segregation of duties and trade approvals
  • Assists Treasury Accountant with hedging and derivative schedules
  • Prepares monthly mark-to-market entries for accounting hedges
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reconciliations
  • Works with staff groups and others to investigate and resolve variances in monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Performs the monthly cash flow analysis for Notes Receivable, Investments at Cost and Investments at Equity
  • Explains all major changes to Notes Receivable, Investments at Cost and Investments at Equity
  • Prepares necessary reclassification adjustments and posts journal entries
  • Assists with drafting 10-Q and 10-K derivative footnote
  • Perform various other tasks on an as need basis to assists the Treasury Accountant and Lease Accounting
  • Posting of all monthly entries and maintaining the trial balance for these subsidiaries
  • Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements for these subsidiaries


Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation is a preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting/finance principles is required, 2-3 years of experience strongly preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new procedures with minimal supervision
  • Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of groups outside of Corporate Accounting
  • Working knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks is a preferred
