The Maintenance Planner – Power & Recovery Department is an integral part of the Mill’s Operations and Maintenance group. This position is responsible for planning mechanical maintenance work to improve quality, reliability, engagement, cost and operations of the Power/Recovery area of the mill. This role is a member of the team consisting of the Business Unit Manager, Area Manager, Operations/Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Front Line Leader and will help foster an environment to continuously improve productivity through innovation to achieve exceptional performance of all maintenance personnel and operators.
The Maintenance Planner provides required materials and work instructions to maintenance employees to complete work. Responsibilities include the following:
This role will work with the department to use the Manufacturing Excellence toolbox methods to consistently improve operations and efficiencies to achieve 3% year over year improvements and 15% year over year reduction in unscheduled downtime for the Power/Recovery area of the mill. The Franklin Mill has a collaborative work environment where all departments and their employees work with other departments of the mill to achieve mill goals.
