Region Sales Manager

We currently have an opening for a Regional Sales Manager for our Kentucky Area (Bowling Green, Louisville, and Lexington) plants.  The position guides business processes and aligns functional resources to exploit geographic business opportunities.  This position effectively deploys sales resources to support the requirements of tactical, strategic and alliance accounts.  The position develops sales managers, sales representatives, and technical sales representatives through one-to-one coaching and direct participation with in helping create value propositions for priority accounts.  This position reports to the Complex General Manager.

Major Accountabilities:
  • Grow profitable sales by establishing and developing an effective sales leadership team and system.
  • Deliver value to our target accounts by overseeing the development and implementation of market driven strategies.
  • Create opportunities for business building alliances by strengthening existing and helping develop new customer relationships.
  • Achieve the corporate business goals by leading the integration of functional (sales, marketing, operations, service) knowledge, information and resources.
Scope:
Has national and multi-plant responsibility with demonstrated senior management level value to customers and business.  Has tactical change leadership responsibility and authority.  Participates in the commercial goal setting for the Region.  Responsible for developing and executing the facility's Sales Operating Plan.  Business revenue responsibility is a significant portion of business unit’s total revenue.  Position has moderate authority to commit company resources. Responsible for the profitable revenue generation of region.  Position may have marketing or service delivery responsibility.  Position required moderate oversight by manager.

Experience:  7 years in sales, 2 in sales management.
Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience.
